Terms of Use

Welcome to Lamma. By using this app or website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Service Provider

Lamma
Email: lamma@areesheh.com

For the mandatory publisher information (Impressum) under German law, please visit: Imprint page.

2. Description of the Service

Lamma is a group cultural party game played between two teams gathered around a single screen. The app includes both free and paid (Premium) content, which can be unlocked with a time-limited pass or a one-time Full Unlock (Lifetime) purchase. The app is available on iOS, Android, and on the web.

Team devices (companion mode): Each player can use their own phone as a controller by scanning a QR code from the screen, which opens a web page — nothing is installed. The game itself stays on the main screen; phones are used for choosing, voting, and coordinating within a team.

We may later enable remote play between devices in different places, with optional voice chat. These Terms apply to it once enabled.

3. Account and Eligibility

Using the free app does not require creating an account. To purchase Premium via the web or to link your subscription across all your devices, you will be asked to sign in with your email address via the Clerk service. Sign-in is optional on iOS and Android.

You must be legally capable of entering into binding contracts in your country of residence. Minors require the consent of their legal guardian.

4. Premium Options and Pricing

Premium unlocks all paid categories. Prices and durations are shown clearly inside the app before purchase, in your local currency via the store. The options we may offer are:

What is actually available: Not all of these options are offered at all times or on every platform. The only authoritative source for what you can buy right now is the purchase screen inside the app itself, which shows the product available to you with its duration and price before you confirm. We may add an option or stop offering it to new users without prior notice; this never affects a pass or purchase you have already made.

All passes are consumable products granting timed access; they take effect immediately upon activation, and their expiry is counted from that moment.

Monthly subscription: a subscription that auto-renews every month until you cancel, unlocking all paid categories while it is active. We may stop offering it to new users on some platforms or during some periods; if we do, existing subscribers keep their subscription, their price, and full access until they choose to cancel.

Prices shown include VAT where applicable.

Creator Codes

Creator Codes are used only for website checkout attribution where available. They do not unlock Premium in the iOS app, and they cannot be redeemed for App Store access. Any free or discounted iOS access is provided only through Apple's App Store mechanisms, such as App Store offer codes or approved In-App Purchases.

5. Payment Processing

Subscription state is managed across all platforms via the RevenueCat service.

6. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation of the Monthly Subscription

The monthly subscription automatically renews at the current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel the subscription:

Premium remains active until the end of the paid period after cancellation. Refund requests for web purchases are handled according to Paddle's official Refund Policy.

Passes do not auto-renew and require no cancellation; access ends automatically when the period expires, with no further charge.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds for web purchases processed by Paddle are handled according to Paddle's official Refund Policy and Buyer Terms. Lamma follows Paddle's official policy for Paddle transactions and does not maintain a separate seller refund policy. App Store and Google Play purchases are subject to Apple's and Google's refund policies.

Consumable passes: all passes are consumable products whose access begins immediately upon activation. Once a pass has started, it is consumed and non-refundable, as is standard for in-app consumables, without prejudice to your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

Right of withdrawal for EU consumers: EU law gives consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal from digital content contracts. Because the digital content is made available to you immediately on purchase, by completing the purchase you expressly consent to performance beginning immediately and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun (§ 356(5) BGB). Since Paddle is the merchant of record for web purchases, Paddle is the party that receives and processes a withdrawal notice under its own Buyer Terms. App Store and Google Play purchases are handled directly by Apple or Google.

To request a refund for a Paddle transaction, use the receipt or subscription management link in your Paddle email, or visit paddle.net. You can read the full refund policy at Refund Policy.

Restoring Access (Restore)

How you restore access depends on the product:

For help, contact lamma@areesheh.com, mentioning the email address linked to your account.

8. Intellectual Property

All contents of the app — questions, design, graphics, logos, and text — are protected by Lamma's intellectual property rights. No part may be copied, distributed, or modified without prior written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

10. Names and Messages in Group Play

When using a team device you choose a display name, and you may send short messages to your teammates. Those messages reach only your own team, are not stored on our servers, and disappear when the match ends. You are responsible for what you write, and you agree not to send:

Host controls: Because group play happens between people who know each other in the same room, primary moderation sits with the host: whoever holds the screen can remove any player from the room or end the session entirely at any moment. The host can also turn team chat off entirely in the match settings before starting.

Reporting: If you encounter abusive behaviour or content you consider a violation, write to us at lamma@areesheh.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Because messages are not stored on our side, a screenshot and the time of the session help us understand what happened.

11. Suspension for Violations

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or use the service unlawfully or in a way that harms other players. We take such action proportionately to the breach and tell you the reason where possible.

If we terminate your access without any breach on your part, the remaining value of any paid purchase is refunded pro rata. If termination follows a material breach by you, no refund is due — without prejudice to your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee that it is error-free or continuously available.

Pursuant to §521 BGB et seq., we are not liable for unintentional damages caused by slight negligence, except in cases of personal injury, death, or gross negligence. This limitation applies to the extent permitted by German law.

Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer in Germany or the European Union.

13. Changes to the App and Content

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or its content at any time. If the Premium service is fully discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance and consider appropriate compensation options.

14. Amendments to the Terms

We may amend these terms at any time. Updates will be published on this page with the date updated at the top. For material changes affecting consumer rights, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Your continued use after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by German law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules (IPR). For consumers residing in the European Union, any more favorable consumer-protection rights in their country of residence apply.

Online Dispute Resolution: The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings and do not currently do so voluntarily.

16. General Provisions

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule closest to its purpose.

Assignment: We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another party (for example on a sale or merger of the business), provided this does not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent.

Force majeure: We are not liable for delay or interruption outside our reasonable control, such as failures of hosting providers, app stores, or communication networks, or natural disasters.

No waiver: Not enforcing one of our rights on one occasion is not a waiver of that right later.

Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding your use of the app.

17. Product Information Required Under Apple's Requirements

To comply with the App Store Guidelines, we disclose the following (details, duration, and price are shown inside the app before purchase, and are authoritative for what is actually available):
